Now a sequel is here and the Taiwanese manufacturer is expected to unveil it tomorrow when IFA 2016 gets underway in the German capital of Berlin.
Industry sources quoted by VentureBeat suggest that the latest model will feature a similar design to that of its predecessor, while getting an ‘S’ appended to its name tag to mark it out as a generational step forwards.
So the HTC One A9S will emerge with a number of incremental updates under the skin and very few changes on the outside. It is known that it will feature a 13 megapixel primary camera, along with a five megapixel selfie snapper on the front, but its hardware is still a secret until the official launch kicks off on September 1st.
HTC has been struggling to maintain a solid presence in the smartphone market in recent years and it seems that it is still hoping it will be able to return to prominence by partially copying Apple’s devices.
