The next flagship smartphone from Taiwanese manufacturer HTC was initially reported on under the M7 nametag, although recent reports suggest that it might be sold as the HTC One, when it arrives later in the year.
However, it might also cause some consumer confusion, particularly since this latest device is very much representative of the company’s next generation devices, not its last.
TechRadar reports that leaked images purporting to show the M7/One have been appearing on a number of sites in the past couple of days, with current speculation suggesting that the design of the new phone will fall in line with that of the Windows Phone-toting 8X.
We are only a week away from seeing what HTC has up its sleeve for its premiere smartphone in 2013, as an event on February 19th has been set aside by the firm for a major launch.
A full HD display, the latest processing power and two tier camera kit should help the new HTC One fight back this year.
