HTC is planning to release a bigger version of its flagship U11 smartphone in the next month or so, but the as yet unannounced U11 Plus has already appeared in the flesh, courtesy of pictures procured by OnLeaks.
While it will share a similar design to its smaller sibling, the U11 Plus looks to sport a few aesthetic changes. The fingerprint scanner has been moved to the rear surface, enabling the physical home button to be eliminated from the front to give it a cleaner look, for example.
The display is thought to measure six inches across the diagonal and it is expected that a high capacity 4000mAh battery will be found under the skin, giving it a longer life and also making it a little thicker than its stable mates.
The U11 Plus is scheduled to launch on the 2nd of November and should be released in the UK before the end of the year, giving HTC the opportunity to take on other phablet contenders like the iPhone X and the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. Various colour options should help this newcomer stand out from the crowd and perhaps attract a younger audience.
