The HTC One M9 will be officially unveiled at the beginning of next month, but fans are already getting familiar with the specifications of the flagship device, thanks to a series of leaks in recent weeks.
The latest news suggests that HTC will be equipping the One M9 with a 20.7 megapixel camera on the rear as well as a four megapixel camera up front, making it a bit more photography-friendly than its predecessors, at least in the simplest sense.
While HTC has stuck with low resolution sensors for its past high end handsets such as the HTC One M8, instead choosing to offer impressive low light performance, it is clearly upping the megapixel count for the One M9, to help compete with its closest rivals.
Also onboard will be the Snapdragon 810 chipset, supporting a total of eight physical cores along with 3GB of RAM, for some seriously impressive performance statistics.
A five inch display with a 1080p resolution, all wrapped up in an attractive metal body, will make the One M9 the best HTC handset so far. Whether or not this will be reflected in sales figures is uncertain, especially given that Apple is still hanging onto its seemingly unassailable lead in the premium marketplace.
