The Apple Watch 2 is set to emerge in the first half of the year and if the iPhone 6C appears alongside it, this will break the firm’s usual autumn release cycle for its latest handsets.
The iPhone 6C is thought to feature a four inch display, making it smaller than the 4.7 inch iPhone 6S and 5.5 inch iPhone 6C. It is also likely to sport slightly older hardware in order to make it more affordable, while featuring a design that may make it a more premium device than the iPhone 5C.
A good reason for Apple to debut the iPhone 6C alongside the Watch 2 is that it will avoid any confusion that might have occurred if, instead, this handset was held back until September next year when the iPhone 7 is likely to launch.
At this point, any talk of the iPhone 6C is merely speculation based on insider information, but the growing number of industry rumours suggests that it could be the real deal.
