UK network provider Three has unveiled details about the specs of the upcoming Nokia X7 smartphone which was the subject of leaks earlier in the week.
The X7 is quite a well equipped handset, with its four inch OLED display allowing it to stand out from the crowd. An eight megapixel camera will keep up its competitive edge and 720p HD recording is also anticipated to compliment its native 16:9 screen aspect ratio.
One interesting point about the X7 is that Nokia will be rolling it out with the Anna update for the Symbian 3 platform preinstalled, which promises to improve the user experience and add some new features.
Among the augmentations to Symbian 3 which will be arriving in the update, are full Flash 10 support in the browser and an onscreen QWERTY keypad, which operates when the phone is held in portrait.
Three’s Sylvia Chind said that the multimedia functionality of the X7, along with its large display, would be the key hooks to bring in new users on its launch. No pricing or UK launch details have been made public, but with all the leaks and information, this should be known in the near future.
