OnePlus has managed to take the mobile market by storm in the past couple of years, with its first two flagship devices proving that high end features do not need to come with a prohibitive price tag.
Now the Chinese manufacturer is gearing up to unveil its latest creation, with the OnePlus 3 thought to be launching on June 14th, according to Android Authority.
Insiders expect that it will sport a 5.5 inch full HD screen, with power provided by the Snapdragon 820 chipset and up to 6GB of RAM.
A 16 megapixel camera, NFC connectivity and a big battery are all on the cards as well. And OnePlus is going to be using virtual reality to introduce the OnePlus 3 to the world, while also pointing out that those without access to a compatible headset will still be able to view the event on standard displays.
Whether the OnePlus 3 itself will also support VR remains to be seen, but it certainly sounds powerful enough to offer this kind of capability and could be a worthy competitor for alternative devices like the Samsung Galaxy S7 and the upcoming Galaxy Note 6 later this year.
