Pictures which appear to show the chassis of the upcoming Galaxy S7 from Samsung have appeared online via Weibo, with the images suggesting that the design of the device will be a little more palm-friendly than its predecessor, thanks to its rounded edges and corners.
Any leaks which occur ahead of the official launch of a smartphone should be taken with a pinch of salt, but since Samsung is thought to be gearing up to launch its next flagship handset in January or February next year, it is more likely that the components showcased in the images are the real deal.
Samsung is thought to be mirroring Apple by making the Galaxy S7 range encompass two handsets with different size displays. The smaller model will, reportedly, feature a 5.2 inch screen while the larger one will be endowed with a 5.8 inch panel.
Whether a replacement for the Galaxy S6 Edge will arrive at the same time remains to be seen. But whatever the case may be, the Galaxy S7 will almost certainly feature some of the most powerful hardware of any mobile to date and will set the benchmark for high end devices in 2016.
