A new Samsung smartphone with a six inch display and a large battery to match has been announced this week, although for the time being, it is only confirmed for a Chinese release, with a UK arrival yet to be decided.
The Galaxy A9’s sizeable display will benefit from the use of a Super AMOLED panel, with a full HD 1080p resolution also making it crisp and clear. Furthermore, it is coated with a gently curved glass surface that will make it pleasing to the touch, according to TechRadar.
As with other recent Samsung phone releases, the Galaxy A9’s design is skewed towards the premium end of the market, with a metal chassis giving it a sturdy yet stylish look and feel. Power comes from its octa-core CPU and 3GB of RAM, while the 4000mAh battery that sits under the surface will give it enough energy for day long usage and beyond.
Further flagship features worth mentioning include the fingerprint scanner, which is built into the home button and will make unlocking the device a doddle for legitimate users. If the Galaxy A9 is a success in China following its release in January, it should land on our shores later in 2016.
