Taiwanese mobile manufacturer HTC looks likely to launch its Evo 3D smartphone in Europe after it was initially suggested that the handset would be exclusive to the American market.
HTC’s French arm used Twitter to confirm that the Evo 3D is getting a European launch ,which presumably means that UK consumers will be able to get hold of it in the coming months.
The HTC Evo 3D offers the same glasses-free effects as the LG Optimus 3D, a handset which will definitely be arriving on our shores this year.
The tweet from HTC France essentially said that the Evo 3D will be making itself known in the summer and will be retaining the same moniker as the US version, although there was no official confirmation of the date on which it will arrive, according to Engadget.
Boasting a 1.2GHz dual core processor and the ability to shoot HD video in 3D, the Evo 3D is likely to be one of the most powerful phones on the market when it comes to specs alone. Adding Android 2.3 and the famous Sense user interface to the melting pot, will only enhance its reputation as a class-leading mobile.
