Pictures showing the HTC Pyramid as rendered by an allegedly official artist, have emerged online, stoking the fire of rumours surrounding this next-gen, dual core smartphone.
The HTC Pyramid has been largely kept to the sidelines as the range of new HTC handsets make their way to market, most notably the Incredible S, which will be a top tier smartphone from the Taiwanese manufacturer when it launches.
Images acquired by XDA.cn show the Pyramid to be in keeping with the current look and feel of the HTC handset, albeit with several enticing specs which will help it compete with its contemporaries.
Its 4.3 inch display will be the same dimensions as that of last year’s HTC Desire HD. However, with a resolution of 960×540, it will have a higher pixel density and should look sharper and more vibrant.
An eight megapixel camera on the rear and a front-facing snapper for video calls will be present on the Pyramid, as with the latest Android operating system, although there is debate over which version this will be.
A dual core processor is expected and this will be essential if the Motorola Atrix and LG Optimus 2X are to be adequately matched by the HTC Pyramid.
