The latest flagship handset from Huawei was announced this week, with the P30 Pro pushing the boat out when it comes to technical features and design.
Photography fans will be the main target audience of the P30 Pro, given that it features four distinct camera lenses on the rear surface to deliver outstanding imaging performance in a range of conditions.
The camera hardware itself comes from Leica, and enjoying the snaps taken will be simple thanks to the huge 6.47 inch OLED screen that swamps the entire front surface of the phone.
Like the new S10 from Samsung, the P30 Pro has a fingerprint scanner integrated with the display in a seamless way. It has also replaced the speakers with a vibrating magnetic system that allows an even cleaner look.
There is still a notch in the screen of this handset to accommodate the selfie camera, but it is kept to a minimum to reduce the amount that it impinges upon the usable display area.
The P30 Pro is also waterproof, with an IP68 rating helping it to avoid taking damage if it is dropped into liquid. All in all, it is an excellent step forward for Huawei’s front-running smartphone range.
