iPhone 6 Could Be a Late Arrival

iphone 6Apple’s next-generation iPhone, which is almost certainly going to arrive in two distinct sizes and attempt to take on phablets such as the Galaxy Note range from Samsung, is now thought to be launching a little later than originally anticipated, according to TechRadar.

It had been hoped that there would be a September 19th global release, but now insiders are stating that it will, in fact, be making its debut in stores on the 25th, adding almost a week to the time that fans will have to wait to get their hands on the device.

The base model will reportedly have a 4.7-inch display, while there will be a larger 5.5-inch version on offer for those who find the current four-inch screen of the iPhone 5S incredibly cramped.

Of course, by modern standards even the 4.7-inch version will be a little small when compared to the five-inch plus models available from Samsung, HTC and Sony. But by addressing the issue of size, Apple is at least recognising that things have moved on since the iPhone 5 made its debut almost two years ago, with big screens now being the norm across the market.
