Nokia’s next big smartphone release is due to take place this Thursday, but an image tweeted by EVLeaks, has given the world a sneak peek at the incoming Lumia 1020 handset.
With a camera sporting a 41 megapixel sensor, the Lumia 1020 will be a market leader when it comes to photography capabilities, matched only by Nokia’s older 808 PureView.
The image published late last week shows that this fresh phone will look quite similar to existing Lumia devices, with a big display, black bezel and slim design.
The snap also features a shot of the phone’s homescreen, on which can be seen a Live Tile dedicated to an app called Nokia Pro Cam.
This has been touted to be a major feature of the Lumia 1020, giving users the ability to make the most out of the huge 41 megapixel camera.
Last month saw Samsung’s Galaxy S4 Zoom make its first appearance in public and it will doubtlessly be the main competition for the Lumia 1020, after Nokia unveils it on July 11th.
Fans of camera phones who want to replace their standalone digital snapper will be spoilt for choice later in the year.
