Images reportedly showcasing the new iPhone 5 have appeared via Unwired View, with side by side comparisons suggesting that it will be slimmer and longer than any of its predecessors.
There have been some recent leaks that show individual elements, like the internal components or the chassis, but these images are the first to, allegedly, identify an iPhone 5 handset in a finished, retail-ready state.
It is difficult to judge the veracity of this type of picture, but it certainly looks like the real deal and given that the iPhone 5 will be launched in just over a week, it is not unreasonable to assume that some leaky sources will have acquired editions that little bit earlier than everyone else.
With a body that measures five inches to accommodate the new four inch screen, the iPhone 5 will be a taller, more domineering device. On the rear, its camera’s aperture seems to be smaller than that of the iPhone 4S, although this might not translate into a smaller sensor or less pronounced photography capabilities.
Perhaps the most pertinent piece of information revealed in the photos is that the iPhone 5 will have a design that is strongly based on the look of the iPhone 4S, rather than going for a wildly different look.
